The Navajo Head Start (NHS) and Early Head Start (EHS) programs are now enrolling children across the Navajo Nation. NHS serves children ages 3–5, while EHS supports pregnant women, infants, and toddlers up to age 3. Both programs offer comprehensive services that promote school readiness through cognitive, social, and emotional development, with a strong emphasis on Navajo language and culture. Children with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) receive personalized support, effective teaching, and accommodations to ensure positive outcomes. Families are encouraged to apply and give their children a strong start in life.
